  • Coloring / drawing – Clothes & Colors
    • Plans:
      • Joseph & Sophie will sit with the children and play color the drawings. We will talk about the activity, ask which item the children want to color, and ask what color they want to color it.
      • The children will then return the previously used crayon (“here you go”) and go ask their mothers for the new color crayon (“green, please” or “green crayon, please”) and then say “thank you”. Mothers will encourage children with the words if needed.

Dongtan Halloween Fall Festival in the Park

Multi-cultural families have a Halloween Fall Festival in Dongtan Park. The event is free and run by volunteers. See more information here.

Halloween Fall Festival in the Park

Multi-cultural families get together for a Halloween Fall Festival in Dongtan Park. The event is free and run by volunteers. Parents run and conduct events and activities.

  • Date: Sunday, October 27, 2019
  • Time: 2:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Place: Dongtan II Yeoul Kongwan (Stream Park) 동탄여울공원

  • Plan B, in case of bad weather, we’ll go to Dongtan 1, Lotte Castle 147-2202

Things to bring:

  • Each child needs to bring at least one parent or guardian.
  • Treats
    • For Trick-Or-Treating: 50 total per child.
    • For the piñata: please donate 5 treats per-children-you-bring to the piñata

      So, if you bring 2 kids you’d need to bring 110 treats. 100 for trick or treating and 10 for the piñata.
  • Picnic blanket
  • (Optional) picnic lunch
    • The park has food vendors and chicken and pizza take out restaurants
  • (Optional) Halloween costumes for children and adults

Schedule

Listen for the whistle that announces when new games and events will begin. Tell your kids to follow the whistle sound to see where the game is taking place. More than one game will be happening at the same time.

  • 2:00 meet and greet – (please stop by the piñata and donate 5 candies per-child into the basket beside the piñata)
  • 2:15 parachute playtime
  • 2:30 tug-of-war
  • 2:45 potato sack races
  • 3:00 three-legged race
  • 3:15 trick or treating (please do not start until the “ready-set-go” is given)
  • 3:30 piñata
  • 4:00 say goodbye
